Education Reform of America By Jake ©Copyright 2009 The education reform of America is just not making progress. Teachers of public schools say they need more money and more parents to support their forced curriculum. The education reform of America is being stopped by politicians, Teacher Unions, and the Religion of Secularism. These factors are preventing healthier, happier youth and stopping the real education reform of America. Americans are far too passive in accepting that the education reform of America is not making progress. Most parents both work. Most single people are not interested in becoming parents. Both groups are seeing workaholicism replace rearing children. While Americans fall in both these groups they become tired and political topics seem to be a fight for the rich only. Public schools and teachers in America are blinded by thinking money and slave labor—referring to teachers’ pitiful wages—will solve their problems. The failure to recognize poor processing is the issue with schools and teachers. If a person has habits of obtaining debt, all the money in the world won’t get them out of debt in the long run. The same is true with what schools and teachers do with education dollars. America’s parents are still being overworked. Government spending is inflating the dollar and forcing the working class to work more and more, longer and longer to make ends meet. Most Americans have given up on child rearing and either don’t have children or pay someone else to rear their child at a day care. For educators in America to think that parents making more time for involvement in their child’s education will solve the problems, is to not recognize what the real problems are. Politicians stop the education reform of America. Most Americans agree that politicians are too easily caught up in needing funding to hold their office that their politics change from meeting the best interests of the people who elected them to meeting the best interest of those who fund them. Politics is a dirty system—it always has been and it always will be. Politicians who accept money from Teacher Unions today are a determent to the education reform of America because Teacher Unions don’t want change for themselves and choice for others. Teacher Unions stop the education reform of America. Teacher Unions are too tied up with self preservation, as an organization, to care for those they should be serving, which is better education, students, and teachers. Unions are self serving because America no longer needs them. These Teacher Unions have become political lobbyists and machines bent on self preservation even though most Americans and teachers see no need for their services, nor even desire their services. Secularism stops the education reform of America. Secularism is the absence of religious discussion. It creates an environment that says mentioning religion is bigotry and rude. It originated in American schools as part of the old education reform of American. It was needed when religious groups would contend with each other in public settings. However, secularism has taken on a religion of its own in the last 100 years. It stops the education reform of American because the change would destroy its seminaries…the public schools. Politicians, Teacher Unions, and Secularism are all preventing the progressive education reform of America and youth from being healthier and happier. Youth and parents not having choices in education, except through personal wealth, are taking its toll on the attitudes of American youth. Youth with little means are forced into a school neither they nor their parents chose. They are forced to learn from teachers they didn’t select and often don’t even respect or like. They must sit all day and listen to what they see as hypocrisy in so many ways. No wonder youth act out. They are morally unhealthy and not happy because they have no choice. It is a prisoner type mentality that causes the unruly behavior in public schools…and this is due to no real choice. The education reform of America, in order to be continuously successful, needs the change or elimination of American Teacher Unions. ©Copyright 2009 |
